I was wondering if anyone has tried to get NYS certification after being certified in CA? Reciprocity would have made it easier, but I was a P/T teacher in CA. So there are additional requirements, such as the edTPA. I completed PACT (Performance Assessment for CA Teachers) in 2011 along with my CA credential at Stanford University, which is very similar to the edTPA from my understanding. I have completed all NY requirements apart from the edTPA, but am really not looking forward to doing the whole PACT/edTPA again. I am an experienced teacher, and I guess this is my mini rant. It's so frustrating not to be able to apply for NYC public school positions. If you have also transitioned from CA to NY and have completed the edTPA alone, how did you go about it and how long did it take? Or were you able to have your PACT paperwork count?

    Thanks so much in advance.

Thank you for posting that link Leaborb192. I am familiar with it. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell me anything about the equivalency between PACT and edTPA, or if PACT is eligible at all for evaluation in NY.
