So I've been teaching for 8 years now, all at the same school. I started as a volunteer, then assisted in the 2s, did a short time in the 1s, lead teacher in the 2s for a few years. May last 3 years I've taught the 3s. This morning I found out I'll be doing vpk this year. I'm excited and nervous. I know I can do it and I'm ready for the challenge. It's a small class just me and maybe 9 kids. Basically I'm looking for any advice from some of you experienced vpk teachers. How's is it different then the threes? Do you have any great tips, or tricks to share? Do you conduct your circle time differently? Most of theses kids will be new to school. About half are wrap around and half vpk only. Thanks for any advice! Wish me luck!
