Has anyone ever tried this before? If so, how has it worked for you? It is very similar to the popular bullet journaling that is all over pinterest. I am wanting to use it because I am seriously getting burned out from having to spend over an hour on each lesson plan to create a scripted lesson that I never refer to while I am teaching. It takes me about 9 hours on the weekend to plan for the upcoming week and that is not even making charts, printing materials, grading papers, or planning small group lessons! I would include all the parts of a lesson plan (focus, vocab, materials, standards, do now, teach, making meaning, transfer, differentiation, assessment) but cut out the "word for word" information that made my plans multiple pages long. Each point would be a quick and simple note to myself about the next step in the lesson. I just need to reclaim my life (as I currently don't have one). Let me know if you do this and what response have you gotten from your administration about it.
