I'm making buffalo wings for dinner tonight, as requested, which is something I don't normally make. Since this is typically appetizer food, I'm having a hard time trying to decide what to serve with it. Any suggestions?
Maybe salad? And if you have non-tainted tomatoes- serve sliced with a little vinegar and oil? I like tomato, cucumber and onion salad with vinegar and oil. Ohio corn is just starting to come in too- corn on the cob?
I would just serve something that you would normally serve with chicken - baked potatoes, potato salad, vegetables...
My husband likes the buffalo chicken strips. They taste just like buffalo wings and I serve them with carrots, celery, bleu cheese dressing and mac and cheese on the side.
Yeah, I would suggest french fries or mac & cheese. Don't forget the celery & bleu cheese!! Us Buffalonians will eat Buffalo Wings with down right anything!!
As you noted, buffalo wings are typically an appetizer. If you're going with a fast food theme, why not serve them with seasoned fries or beer battered onion rings? You could also have coleslaw or a cruidte platter of raw vegetables with a ranch dressing/yogurt dipping sauce. Fresh fruit would also be refreshing and would help offset the heat from the wings.
Probably so. But if you ever come back, check out The Anchor Bar. It is near downtown Buffalo and they are pretty famous. They actually sell a Buffalo Wing sauce in stores.:2up:
