books on the dust bowl?

    The only one I know of is Cat Running, but I can't seem to find any new ones...out of print maybe? Historical Fiction novels would be best! :woot:

    That is the one I was going to suggest. Very good book.

    Do you think that will work for a 4th grade classroom? The protagonist is 14.

    It has been on 4th and 5th grade reading lists before. I have also read books where the protagonist has been a little older before. I guess I pretty much see it as a young person who faces an extremely difficult time... :)
