I know that there are some other threads out there that has some suggestions for the things that I have listed BUT I need some specific suggestions based on the following criteria: I prefer mostly "G" Rated movies but some PG ones ae okay if they don't have a lot of profanity. I prefer cozy mysteries but will also read other genres as long as again they don't have a lot of profanity in them. TV shows have the same criteria. I did like the Jessie Stone movies (with Tom Selleck in them) and I know they weren't always rated G or PG but they were still good. I do not have Hallmark, cable, satellite or any of that although I do have some streaming services: Amazon Prime and Hulu. I even like older movies (two of my favorites are Casablanca and To Kill a Mockingbird) so I am even open for suggestions on classics/older B&W movies.

I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer on Sept. 27, 2021. I was going to try and work some while taking my treatments but realized that it wasn't a good thing to do with flu/strep/Covid season and who knows what all else might be out there. I took a medical leave which has been a good thing because twice now since I have started my chemo my white blood cell counts have been low and I have had to get shots to boost their production and also have had to stay home and avoid people. I haven't worked since Oct. 4, 2021 when I realized it was going to be too hard on me and my shared classroom aide to fill in for me on the days I didn't feel like working. So they hired a retired 1st grade teacher to come in and cover my class for me. I am hoping to get to back in January but I have no idea if that will happen. I have only had 5 treatments so far with 15 more to go :( I am not here looking for sympathy but if you are a praying person, I welcome all prayers.

Thank you in advance for reading this and I look forward to your suggestions.

I am glad you are able to take medical leave.
    I hope things go smoothly.
I will pray for a complete and easy recovery for you.

As far as recommendations, sounds like you would enjoy "feel good" type of movies. Here are some of my faves, all G or not more than PG. You probably have seen most, but I've enjoyed watching them more than once:
Groundhog Day, Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, Fried Green Tomatoes, A League of Their Own

For books, if you like cozy mysteries, Rhys Bowen has some good series. I also like the books by Lynda Cohen Loigman, easy to read, with a nice ending, but not too superficial.

Hope you get some good ideas from this thread.
Please keep us posted about your progress.

I like cozy mysteries by Maddie Day.

The Great British Baking Show is... well... great!

I don't know if you would be interested in YouTube channels, but if you are, here are a few I enjoy:

Am I the only total dork excited that BattleBots is coming back in the new year?

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, picture a robotics class mashed up with WWE. Outstanding fun and very educational!

See if you can find Good Witch. It's one of those light and fluffy series.

I’m a huge fan of historical fiction in books, but not usually television or movies. I’ve recently discovered Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (from Australia) and also Frankie Drake Mysteries (from Canada). I found them on the Ovation channel but maybe they’re available elsewhere also. I’ve been relaxing this year with Hallmark movies, but you could try The Prince and Me, Notting Hill, or musicals maybe. As for books, I’ve been reading some non fiction lately. One is about the Barbizon Hoteland I’ve been reading a lot about the Harvey Girls. Take care!

I recently came across the Frankie Drake mysteries. Fun stuff. I love Miss Fisher too.
