I was looking for a place to get books at the best price to give to the kiddos for Christmas gifts. Someone told me about an organization which donates books to low income children. For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's called FirstBook.org.
I also use scholastic bonus points (and usually a little of my own money) to get the kids books for holiday gifts.
We have an individual who findsl iterally truckloads of free books, they'll distribute the books at the local co-op and teachers can grab as many books as they can carry and they'll distribute them to the kids.
Hoot Owl Where does your volunteer find so many free books? That would really be a blessing for us. TIA.
