How do you guys sort books? I am in the process of doing ABC, Numbers, Colors, non-fiction animals, Rhymes, etc.--Any category suggestions? Thanks!

I sort mine by theme and any that don't fit my themes just go in misc. boxes. I put my books in cardboard magazine holders labeled by theme. I line them up on top of bookcases in the order we teach the themes.

I recently organized our library and did it by themes much the same as Lanie. I coded my catagories by number and put the number sticker on the binding or the bottom of the book(left side)...it is very simple and easy to find books now.
