I'm about to finish a book that I've been reading. Normally I have a few books lined up so I'm never 'in between' books. However, after I finish this book, I don't have anything lined up! So I'm looking for good book recommendations to download on my Nook. I love historical fiction books! So ready for your suggestions...

    Ready....set....GO!

Not historical fiction, but I am loving the Legend series. Legend is the first book.

Pretty much anything and everything by Phillippa (I never spell that right) Gregory. She does historical fiction.

I know she has those covered

I have a lot on my Goodreads "to read" list. When I get home I'll jot down some titles.

I'd recommend Reading Lolita in Tehran. It was an eye-opener.

    Will check it out. Thanks!

If you like historical novels, I recommend the Mistress of the Art of Death series by Ariana Franklin. Definitely her stand alone historical novel, City of Shadows (my favorite of her books).
I also remember really liking Year of Wonders by Gwendolen Brooks--kind of sad, though, so beware (small English village struck by the plague in medieval times).

What about the secret life of Josephine? I think that's the title. It's about Napoleon's wife.

I finally started Outlander. It's good so far. From my Goodreads list I can suggest:
    Mrs. Poe -Lynn Cullen
    Lily of the Nile-Stephanie Dray
The Krewe of Hunters books -Heather Graham
    A Dangerous Inheritance -Allison Weir
    Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker-Jennifer Chiaverini
The Second Empress: A Novel of Napoleon's Court-Michelle Moran
Madame Tussaud: A Novel of the French Revolution-Michelle Moran
These are the ones I have already read and I know there are some similar ones on my To Read list if you are still looking.

That looks good. I will put it on my list. When I looked that up on Goodreads it suggested Becoming Marie Antoinette also.

Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Sepetys. Historical, based on a true story, and AMAZING. Best book I've read in years.

Most of what I read is either my book club or books I am given to read in exchange for reviewing them. My read/reviews are mostly romance, so if you want that, I can recommend there as well. You should join Goodreads.

I like that Goodreads gives you recommendations based on the books you've read. I have over 300 books on my Want to Read list. Every day I add at least 2 more

Will definitely add these to my list. Thanks!

I'll have to check that out. I'm not sure if I've read that or not.

I think I will start the Outlander series. My sister in law got me hooked on the TV series. I should have no problem reading those books before the series comes back in April.

I'll had this to my list as well.

Not historical fictions, but I just finished "Solomon's Oak" and "Me Before You" and loved them both. For historical fiction, try "The Alienist" if you like a bit of a shiver.

I thought Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter was pretty good. There's a new book by the same author coming out that I won a copy of (I think on Goodreads) that I will be getting soon. There's someone on Facebook who has a page called Confessions of a Bookaholic or something. She has great book suggestions and even has giveaways.
