    Hello!

I have a new student who moved from Sweden to the US. She is in sixth grade and seems to be adapting well. I'd love to know if there is a relevant book for her to read (YA fiction) that deals with this big change she's going through.

    I'd appreciate any suggestions!

    Thank you,
    Cassie

I've two students from Romania (they are siblings, both are good in English, having low social skills though). I'm planning to send them copies of books about culture shock and some materials about the differences of European and American styles of life. Any ideas?

So far I've found these four:
    • America for Beginners by Leah Franqui
    • Culture Shock, USA: A Guide to Customs and Etiquette by Esther Wanning
    • Europe and America: A Cultural Divide by Laura Pimion
    • Interesting Times by Terry Pratchett
