Is there any info on the web (or from you!) that has the characteristics of each level. I don't care what leveling system, I have a conversion chart. I am just trying to level my books and some of them are not on the scholastic wizard database and I was going to try to level them myself!
I JUST came across one last week. I don't remember if it was online or in my files. UGH! I'll see if I can't turn it up!

Thank you so much! Our school uses AR levels. I didn't really see that on the charts. Do you know how AR compares with the other leveling systems?
AR levels We have found that AR levels don't correspond to guided reading levels in many cases. We asked Ar why that is and they sent back a response that was too complicated to understand. Basically, they said that there is no conversion chart from AR to guided reading.
Our school purchased the The Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Book List, K-8+: 2010-2012 Edition, we actually have the 2006 version I think but it helps. It sells on amazon for $56. anyway it's really helpful and would help your whole school as a resource. We bought it at their workshop we went to, the workshop wasn't that great but the book is very helpful.
