    Hello,

I only have cubbie shelves in my class which are not great for housing regular books and useless for big books.

My questions are...what ideas have you all come up with to display books in your classes?

How do you store/display big books? I have a pocket chart that is for holding 3 big books, but it is always falling apart, and I just can't fix it anymore.

I tried to find plans online to build something for regular and big books with no luck. To buy something is super expensive. I'm hoping someone can share a creative idea.:):thanks:

I agree, baskets/tubs/bins are the way to go when it comes to holding books. I have rain gutters too but I use them for display only, they don't hold as many books as bins do. Here is a link to my classroom library page where you can see a picture of how my books are stored.

I use a wide plastic crate to hold my big books vertically, so I just have to flip through them to find what I want.

I also use plastic bins for books, and got the idea from vannapk's site. You can get lot's of ideas there. Thanks vannapk!

Love the rain gutter idea! A great way to display books.
