    Hi
I sent in an application to a charter school that will be opening in the fall. When I sent it in, I used an incorrect email address. It's not completely incorrect, as I have been communicating with the HR person using that address. In other words, I've been using BobSmith@school.org, whereas the apps have to go to Applications@school.org. I'm thinking of resending it. I'm sure he's received it, but at the wrong one! My question is will I look even more foolish if I resend it?? Maybe I just blew it or maybe I'm worrying too much?
    Thanks!!

Hmm, the "email" addresses have been removed. Let's see if this will work.
I sent it to bobsmith at school. org
    rather than
    applications at school. org
    Does this make sense?
    Thanks again!

I would send it again. E-mails all probably go to his e-mail address, but they get filtered into a special folder from the second address... better safe than sorry.

I would send it again. I really don't think it's a goof or that it will cost you an imterview.

Send again, adding a note at the beginning that you noticed the discrepancy in the email addresses and that you apologize if it's something he has already received.

    Thanks everyone!
TeacherGroupie, if the cover letter is in the body of the email, where would the apology be best placed?

Right at the beginning, before the salutation. You can put it in parentheses if you like.

The rules are indeed a bit different for email than for print, yes.

I went ahead and sent it again with a little note, as TeacherGroupie suggested.
My father-in-law is very ill, and my family and I are going out of state to visit him. I'm sure that if I get a call for an interview, that's when the school will want to interview me!!!

It's still pretty early and schools can afford to be a little accommodating with the interview time. In think you would be okay in most situations as long as you aren't gone longer than a week.
