Anyone watching? I'm just liking having regular TV to look forward to again. My favs are Janelle, Kaysar (sp?), Christmas, and Tyler. So far I don't have any dislikes except a little Bayleigh and blonde Nicole. I wonder how they do food, cameras, game set and such with COVID.
Assuming they were all tested and isolated before going in to The House, it couldn't be safer. Talk about a bubble!
I am so excited that we are getting Big Brother All Stars! My favorites are Janelle, Kaysar, Keesha, and Tyler. So glad to see some of these people on my tv screen again.
Agreed. I'm assuming they must keep the crews isolated too. That would be a lot of planning for sets and such.
I'm watching! I only started watching a few years ago, so I don't know most of the all stars, but I'm still enjoying it! It's so nice to have a "normal" summer thing back on.
I thought Memphis made some pretty weak/whimpy choices last evening. I would like to see a big backdoor early on. I also thought his request for the safety suite exposed him to playing for himself.
I honestly do not remember Memphis at all. I remember his name, but I don't remember anything beyond that. His face doesn't even look familiar to me. And I was a Dan fan! I'm rooting for Janelle, Kaysar, Ian, and geeky Nicole. I also have a soft spot for David. Honestly there are quite a few players I really like this season. I like Dani and Cody, but I don't really like that big alliance. I'm not a fan of Memphis or his gameplay.
I'm guessing Tyler will make decent nominations or possibly a backdoor. No showmances and not all young hotties this year. lol
Although I am pleased with nominations, I am not thrilled with his possible replacement nominee. Tyler does need to keep one threat that is larger than himself.
Enzo nominates Kaysar and Kevin...hmmm? I am not seeing the logic here except it's two males which keeps the females happier.
Seems like a wasted HOH. I'm sure I heard Enzo say that he wanted to shake things up, and he was one of the hinky votes last time. Why is he cowering now? He should have nominated bigger targets. I would love to see Memphis and his arrogant attitude on the block.
Maybe now that Bay and Day are noms there will be some drama. Bayleigh sure likes to know and control everything and when she does not, OH MY! I too was hoping for Memphis but his name did not come up I don't think. Is there not going to be a battle back? Maybe due to COVID? I'm enjoying no show mances and everyone being older...well a littler older.
My hoosband and I were just talking about how nice it is that the HGs are a little older and more established. Many of them have significant others and/or children. It removes the showmance component, which really adds value overall, I think. I get so tired of the showmances. Ugh. Let's just play the game without constantly making out. It's also nice that many of them have real jobs and aren't just "models" looking for an opportunity to make it big. They have something to go home to, and I wonder if that might make them play the game a little differently/better.
Now that some of my favorites have left, I am rooting for Ian, David, Day, and maybe Cody and Enzo. I do not like Memphis or Nicole and am actively rooting against them. I am indifferent to Dani, Bay, and Christmas. Am I forgetting anyone?
I'm not a fan of Enzo. Maybe it is the "meow meow" LOL Sounds so dumb. Not a fan of David. I guess because to me he isn't a true "all-star". They need to do a show of all first or second HG's voted off.
I really flip flop in how I feel about Enzo. He irritates me, and I also hate the "meow meow" thing. But what I like is that he seems the most likely person to flip the script and go against what "the house" wants. Of course, he didn't do that during his HOH. Ugh. Next week I'll probably dislike him again, lol. I feel like David is an underdog, and I really want him to go far. I felt like he got the short end of the stick on his original season. Poor guy. But he's not being very smart right now. He will need to up his game a lot before he has any hope of sticking around for a while.
I think you only left out Tyler. He tries to be everyone's friend. I am rooting for Ian, Day, and David. If I have to choose others, it's Christmas and Tyler. At the beginning I thought I would be rooting for Dani. I was hoping Enzo would stir the pot, but that wan't the case. Memphis and Bayleigh are by far my least favorites. Just the way Memphis walked in the last HOH put me over the top. Any Bay, well, she just has to be in control and know everything or she takes it personal and blows. Tonight will be interesting...
I want to like Tyler, and I think I do personally, but I don't like his game play. He is making the same mistake he made last time in making too many alliances. What gets me is that he knows that was his downfall last time, yet he is still doing it!
Last night's episode was heart wrenching. I get that it's a game, but Dani and Nicole were mean...especially Dani. What she made Nicole do for Dani's game was evil. I hope it back fires on her. I think it would have helped Nicole's game more to vote to keep Ian and have Dani cast that vote to evict Tyler...If she would have kept her word. Not sure why Memphis told David to not win veto. By doing so it's obvious to David he's backdooring him. I'll be surprised if Cody or Tyler use it actually. So Memphis better hope that Day, Kevin, Dani, Nicole, or himself wins.
I don't have a lot of sympathy for Nicole because I think she understands the consequences of her actions better than most--she has won this game before. I agree that I think it would have been better for her game to keep Ian around, and I think it was a mistake to vote the way she did. I feel bad for Day, because I think that she will feel very hurt when she sees that Nicole lied to her. She believes that they are tight, but they're clearly not. I knew David's show of acting like he didn't use the power on himself would backfire. It made him look so shady, which led to the predicament that he's in now. I also think that he doesn't do himself any favors when he has such a blank affect when talking with people, showing almost no emotion at all. And when he says stuff like, "I voted how I said I would." That's not a clear "Yes, I voted to keep Ian," and someone who is already suspicious could easily interpret it as the kind of lying without really lying that some people do. I know that I encounter that a lot as a teacher with my students.
I have not watched it regularly, but did to see Nicole do the backstabbing. I wish she'd have gone with her word and switched the game up. I tend to always feel bad for the underdogs, I was hoping they'd have a chance. I never liked Dani. I saw a whole season with her and her dad. Even though he was "different" she was so mean and disrespectful to her own dad. Last night she seemed indignant that David would "go after HER." Like she is too special to be touched. Also, she had this arrogant smirk that was annoying! I used to love shows like BB and Survivor, but it seems like so often they play the game too safe by knocking off the easy targets. They ought to give winner points or $$ to people who make "big moves." It would make them more interesting.
I agree. I get bored with it when "one side" of the house is just constantly in power and then just pick off the easy targets. I want the "other side" to win sometimes too to make things interesting!
Whenever a new season rolls around, my hoosband and I always discuss ways to make BB better. We usually agree that they need more incentives for people to shake things up, like offer $5,000 if you use the veto. I think people would be much more motivated to hop off the status quo train if they were financially incentivized to do so. I'm also over the silly costumes and have-not garbage. I remember when they used to have food competitions, like where they could win peanut butter and cauliflower for the week and that's what they'd have. Those were better than the have-not thing, which mostly just seems to make people lethargic.
Oh, 100% they need to cast more diverse HGs. One thing I do like about this season is that many of the players are older, in or near their 30s and 40s, and many of them have careers, families, and significant others. It eliminated the showmance factor, which is usually something that I strongly dislike. The players are back because they enjoy the game and not because they are models who were put there by the production team (even if that's precisely the reason they were cast in the first place).
Oh, to be "older" once more. You made me laugh. I remember as a teen a saying: Never trust anyone over 30. That was a long time ago! I think 5K for using the veto would encourage its use too. I liked it too when they worked together to get the food they'd have for the week. Maybe they could give a penalty if you don't use an advantage or give it away too. It added some spice to the game too when someone was chosen to pull pranks. They got money if they could get away w/ doing different silly things. Maybe they could have 2 winners. Last man/woman standing and an America votes for the most gutsy player. The only thing is: We don't see what is going on in there really. They just show us a short period of time.
lol Well older comparatively, considering that it's usually a house full of model-slash-somethings in their early 20s. I like the idea of receiving a penalty of some sort if you don't use the veto. But not a dumb costume.
AGREED! Although it is better this season since they are all stars they are not quite as young and no show mances!
Or 3 noms and the veto MUST be used leaving 2 noms. Or only the 3 noms get to play the veto and no new nom?
I never thought they were funny either, but I think some, or most of the players, really enjoy being the center of attention. Even bad attention!
Oh, tonight I was glad Tyler did NOT use the veto. . Memphis was being way too overbearing telling people to throw the veto. Tyler thought David was 1 who did not vote for him. Since David had been so distraught about Dayvon sp???? not believing him when he was telling the truth, it rewarded him. It is amazing how rumors and loyalties on a show and real life can be confusing at times. We used to joke that our school was Survivor _______, where we had to outlast, outwit, and outplay to have a job! We had our alliances too. Now that I am gone, for some reason, people from both sides feel free to contact me. I don't answer a lot. I am so glad to be out of that mess. I spent half my life working at a functional school, thank goodness. I am hearing rumors about me that are not even true. Nothing bad....just totally untrue.
