My good friend's son was in a hit and run last night. He's on a ventilator with broken ribs, lung issues, blood in brain. He's a childhood friend of my son who is distraught. Please send your prayers.
My friend has battled cancer twice...she's been through enough. Thanks all, for your thoughts and prayers.

I don't know any details about how it happened. My son found out because someone saw something on Facebook... My fried and her husband drove from Philly last night at 3 am.
He's out of induced coma but stll having lung issues due to aspirating body fluids during accident. Thanks for all your prayers...keep them coming, please!
Head of neurological came in and said he'll have some struggles for a while because of the brain bleed, but time and rehab will help.
Thanks, all! He's being transferred to rehab today. I'm planning on going to see him with my son this weekend.
Went to the rehab today with dh and my son (son was BFF with injured friend in elementary, go to same college). My friend's son is up and walking...he tried to break out of rehab yesterday...he knew his relatives were at a nearby restaurant so he started walking and the staff stopped him as he was headed out of the parking lot, pushing his wheelchair for support! It's SOOOO good to see him up aNd walking...only one week from the accident. No bruises. Six broken ribs and some abraded vertebrae....a bit of an issue eating and drinking, a very little bit of scrambled words, but he's going to be ok....when asked how he feels, he says 'I feel like I was hit by a truck' ( from the mirror and broken light remnants left behind by the $&@ driver we know it was a Kia Sedona ). I told him that people he doesn't even know are praying for him...he said 'it's working'.....thank you all!
Thank you. He's allowed home now with PT sessions several times a week. He's a miracle. Thank you all.
