I thought I would let you know about a movie that I thought was best movie of 2008. I saw Marley and me today. It is very very good but it has a twist at the end that it is sad! I would not take kids to see it cuz' of the sad ending. I just want to know what you think of that movie if you have seen it and/or what your favorite movie of 2008 is.

I agree with you. Marley & Me was my favorite movie of 2008. I smiled, I laughed, and I cried. What more could you ask for in a movie?

Haven't seen Marley and Me yet.

Honestly, I thought The Dark Knight was the best movie I saw this year. It is SUCH a shame that Heath Ledger died because he was amazing in his role. My initial "worry" (for lack of a better word) was that this movie would be over-hyped because of Heath Ledger, but he absolutely gave an Oscar-worthy performance. Christian Bale is also hot. ;)

    I also really like Ironman.

I loved Marley & Me. I am so not a dog person but I cried when I read the book and cried when I saw the movie!

I agree that The Dark Knight was awesome. I haven't seen Marley and Me and would like to, however I'd like to read the book first.

I also liked Twilight. Yeah, I'm one of those who's obsessed with the books. I liked the movie for reasons other than what I liked the Dark Knight for. ;)

I thought about this too. I always read the books before I see the movies but am always disappointed when the movie doesn't measure up. I'm afraid I won't like Marley and Me the movie if the book turns out to be really good.

    Another huge fan of Twilight!!

We saw The Dark Knight the other day, but it just wasn't as good as I thought it would; however, Heath Ledger did an excellent job!

I also want to see Marley and Me.

You will love Marley and Me. My grandparents went with us 2 see it, and they are so picky about what movies they like and they loved it. I have not read the book but I say see it anyway.

I read the book awhile ago so I don't remember it completely, but I thought it was very close to what I remember. They may have left some things out - I don't know - but I wasn't at all disappointed.

The only thing that annoyed me a little was Owen Wilson's nose.

    Best Movie...

We saw Marley and Me and it was AWESOME! I was involved in a community based learning project and had the chance to meet John Grogan personally, he was awesome-my 15 year old son just loved him. Next we went to John's book talk for Marley and me and let everybody know that Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson got the story right down to a "T" We were SOOOOOO ready for the movie, especially after reading the book and personally talking with the author-What agreat experience. At the end of the movie, my husband, my son and I all held hands and just sobbed. It was wierd b/c we had read the book and knew what was coming, but thre was no way we could help the overflow of emotions. Defintely not for young children.

Stepbrothers ( a great comeback for Will Ferrell after the lousy ice skating movie)
The Dark Knight (Heath Ledger is awesome)

Just had to say I thnk I'm a year behind. We usually either rent or watch when they come to the movie channels we get.

We did watch Reservation Road and The Final Season..both released in 2007 (I think) but I watched them in 2008!! LOL!!!

THOUGHT OF ONE WE SAW ... FIREPROOF!!! Very good!!!

27 Dresses is a great movie. I haven't seen Marley and Me (the previews didn't really attract my attention), but maybe I will since most of you seemed to.

I'm not usually big on movies about animals and the previews focused mainly on the dog, not the story.
