I'm considering doing a Donor's Choose for a document camera. I've seen Elmo's before, but don't have experience with any other brands.

If you have used a document camera before, what would you recommend?

    Thanks!

Elmo's are great! That's really the only one that I'm familiar with.

I have an AverMedia. I like it because it can fold if you need to store it during the summer.

I have this one from Lumens.

It's the size of a desk lamp, and it works just fine. It also takes still photos and video.

I like my AverMedia, too. My kids LOVE it when I use the "negative effect" and it looks like I'm writing white on black. :) I also enjoy being able to "freeze" a picture of what I'm displaying for various reasons. OH, and the mechanical arm is great because I can even bend it down so I can show a tub of water from the side when we do our Sink and Float activity - all the kids can see it so well that way! The only problem I have with it is that it randomly turns itself on, so I make sure to unplug it from the wall each day so it doesn't turn on in the middle of the night.
