What's your favorite 80's show? Mine is Punky Brewster...loved it, it was great and I bought the whole series on DVD
Does anyone remember "Eight is Enough"? I can't remember if it was on in the 80's but anyway, I freakin loved that show! I was madly in love with Willie Ames and was prepared to marry him and have his children at any given time!
I watched Eight is Enough in the 80s but I think it was in re-runs. It might have been a late 70s/early 80s show though. Fun show! I enjoyed The Cosby Show, Family Ties and Growing Pains.
For 80's cartoons, I used to watch Jem, Punky Brewster, Rainbow Bright and Fraggle Rock! I also liked Charles in Charge, ALF, Doogie Howser, Full House and Quantum Leap. Oh, and Small Wonder! I don't think it was on long and my husband has no idea what I'm talking about. Does anyone else remember this show but me??
Oh, yay!! I'm so glad someone remembers it! None of my friends had any idea what I was talking about when I explained the show to them!
I watched Alf, Full House, Wonder Years, Fraggle Rock, Rainbow Bright, Care Bears, and Inspector Gadget.
WAsn't she the robot that the dad built? Cosby, Family Ties, Growing Pains, (My husband wants me to say Night Court-I wasn't so into it), Charles in Charge...
I have to say Private Benjamin, The Paper Chase, and Scarecrow and Mrs. King...because I wrote for them!
Loved Family ties.... and most of the others mentioned. No one mentioned Cheers, Thursdays on NBC in the 1980s.
I'm not sure if this show was late 80's or early 90's but I loved Twin Peaks. Also Mork and Mindy and Facts of Life. My husband loved Hill Street Blues.
I loved The Facts of Life, Cosby, Murder She Wrote and my still all time favorite show ........THE GOLDEN GIRLS!!!!!
Small Wonder! That takes me back to my grandma's house on Saturdays, where I always enjoyed a tiny books of cocco puffs in a green bowl. I also liked Webster, Alf, Muppet Babies, and The Golden Girls Of course, my favorite school then and now was I Love Lucy. I've watched it ever since I was a little, little girl.
I 'm not sure but I think these were either late 70's or early 80's;Land of the Lost, Groovey Ghoulies, Facts of Life , Different Strokes, Growing Pains, Richard Blade's Video Beat and my favorite Dance Party U.S.A!
Most of my childhood & early teen yrs were in the 80s, so this is right up my alley! I watched... The Cosby Show (FAVORITE) A Different World (FAVORITE) Family Ties (FAVORITE) Today's Special (Nickelodeon show) (FAVORITE) Gidget (older than the 80s, but aired during 80s (FAVORITE) I Love Lucy (FAVORITE) Charles in Charge Growing Pains The Golden Girls Mr. Belvedere My Two Dads Out of This World Punky Brewster Silver Spoons Sledge Hammer Small Wonder 227 Webster Little House on the Praire Wonder Woman Chips The Greatest American Hero Gilligan's Island T.J. Hooker Gilligan's Island
Anyone remember "Remote Control"? It was the first non-music show on MTV (yes, this is the one that started the spiral). Quirky game show with the contestants on easy chairs with remotes for buzzers. The best thing about it were the guest appearances by very young Adam Sandler and Denis Leary.
Oh, I loved Double Dare. I wasn't thinking of Nickelodeon shows. And, when I was little, I loved Dumbo's Circus on Disney.
Oh my gosh, yes!!! I loved Remote Control! My dad, brother and I used to watch it and we'd each pick a player to be and sit in their "spot" on our couch! I forgot all about that show!
I was born in '82, so the shows I hold close to my heart are those geared for younger audiences. The Littles Rainbow Brite Maple Town, which so few remember Gummi Bears Care Bears The Wuzzles My Little Pony Shirt-Tales Lovely Lady Locks Getalong Gang Scooby Doo Huggabunch He-Man The Smurfs Transformers Teddy Ruxpin Alvin and the Chipmunks Pound Puppies The Jetsons Berenstein Bears Duck Tales Flinstones Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles And so many more, I'm sure... Honestly, when I think about these cartoons I start to tear up...even though my childhood was far from perfect, recalling specific moments involving these shows...it's just sad and I miss it. I could write a memoir about each cartoon on this list.
Jem-Punky Brewster-Alf-Rainbow Brite-Small Wonder-Full House-Facts of Life (sometimes)-Webster...can't think of any more right now, but I know there are others! I miss all those shows! Except Full House, cuz that re-runs all the time!
I miss Alvin and the chipmunks and Yogi Great shows.... I don't miss Full house and don't know if I care about it anymore cause it's on ALL THE TIME
I liked Kate and Allie plus many of the other shows listed! I had forgotten about some of these until they were mentioned! Thanks for the flashback!!
wow; I hadn't realized that we had so many great shows in the 80s!! Would you believe that I had never watched Cosby before?? I mean a whole episode? I just watched two shows the other day! Wow; I sure was missing something! Other favorites...Full House, Growing Pains, Facts of Life, Life Goes On, etc... Seems like this era has it's favorites in reality shows.
