I have taken several Bennett Mechanical Comprehension test and have no idea if my answers are correct or not. Where can I find the answers or the reasoning behind the questions? I have another test to take for another apprenticeship opportunity and I need to know the correct answers and most importantly: Why?

    Thanks, Larry

Hi, Larry, and welcome to AtoZ. I don't have any advice for you on your question, though. I'm sure someone else will. Glad you found the site.

Larry, you've mentioned apprenticeship. The A to Z forum is for people who are or will be teachers at levels up to high school. It's not clear to me that we know much that will help you.

According to this page on the Nova Web site, http://www.cps.nova.edu/~cpphelp/BMCT.html, the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test is a test of mechanical knowledge, visualization, and mechanical reasoning.

I can't say much for the quality of the writing, but this site gives a list of concepts in mechanics that one needs to know for this test:

    http://www.personality-and-aptitude-career-tests.com/bennett-mechanical-comprehension-test.html

It might help to make sure you're very familiar with these concepts and to think about situations involving the so-called simple machines in which these concepts come into play.
