I'm having a really rough time this year dealing with behavior. This group we have is notorious for severe disrespect issues. The amount of entitlement and apathy that my students have is seriously astounding. Part of the problem stems from home. The majority come from unstable households, where rules and expectations are not enforced (or even defined). Many times, I don't think the students know what being respectful even means/looks like. Then they're blindsided when we tell them they're being disrespectful. I'm looking for some sort of curriculum (lesson plans/activities) to teach my students about respectful behavior. I want to teach lessons during study hall time about dealing with their emotions, communicating with adults, making positive choices, etc. I've been browsing Amazon for an hour or so and nothing I've found quite fits. Any suggestions?
