How do you conduct your beginning of the year procedures? We have always had a very informal open house the day before school starts where the students and parents basically just bring their supplies. We don't have our formal open house till about a month into school. I am really thinking about setting up conferences before school starts to explain how everything is ran in my classroom. This would be on my own time, but I think it would be great for parents to understand the expectations upfront.
