I really like the idea of BEE books (bring everything everyday) but I have a frog theme in my room. Does anyone know of a good acronym that I could use for the word frog, frogs, froggy? Please help. :)

    LEAP
    LILY
    FLY
    POND
    JUMP

I tried to put words for each...maybe you'd have better luck. Another thought is to just give the folder a name and not try to make it into an acronym...You could have the FLY book and paste a pic of a large fly on it. Or, have a green folder or put sticker of frog on folder and then when they return the folder each week, they can get a fly sticker ( or just a black dot ) stuck to the front of the folder...

I love the idea of "Bee" book. I am using a similar idea with my lower-level kids and love the idea of naming the folders. I came up with few that I'm thinking of using:

Bear – being earnest about reading(responsibility)

    Ox – Organization extreme
Rhino - responsibility has intelligence and organization
    Bee – being energetically employed

Hippo – Highly Inter-personal productivity organizer

BEAR - Bring Everything Always Ready or Becoming Educated and
    Responsible
    BEE - Bring Everything Everyday
I got these from a website, but don't remember where.

One of our teachers uses frogs as her theme - Fully Rely On God
Our Pre-K and K classes use 3 ring binders instead of children bringing back packs. We use a picture of a bear on the front for - Building Effective And Responsible Students. Binders include school and classroom rules and policies, school year calendar, rules for the binder, a zippered pouch for any money that needs to be sent to school, a pocket for parent/teacher communication, a pocket for children's work, a pocket for homework papers, monthly reading calendar (blank calendar that parents are to fill in name of book and/or amount of time spent reading and initial it daily), class activities calendar, school newsletter, etc.....this has been great for us!
I'm trying to come up with another animal to use in my classroom theme, using an acronym faith based like the FROG -Fully Rely On God. Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks!
