Finally, it's opening day!! I don't know how many baseball fans there are on a to z, but it's my favorite sport to watch and I've been waiting for the season to start up again since October when the last one ended! Right now I'm watching my Red Sox beating the Texas Rangers 6-2 and I'm loving it. :D Even if they lose, it's alright, I'm just happy that it's finally baseball season again!

Cincinnati lost sooo badly against Chicago! 16 to 7 :(

President Bush threw out the first pitch. (He probably jinxed the Reds!)

Sorry, I dont watch baseball. During this time all I watch is hubby watching baseball. LOL He does not move except to flip to the next game. He watched the Braves. Left to go to his friends to watch the FL gator basketball game. I like sports but I have to be at the game to get into them, just not the same over the TV. I went to the Devel Rays game last year, count for anything. :) I am happy for all of you though, glad you are enjoying this time of year. :)

My son and I are baseball fanatics (Toronto Blue Jays!). I probably watch more than he does, he plays and umpires. Our opening day (night) is tonight, and I'll have to tape American Idol so that we don't miss a pitch!

Being a Red Sox fan I'm inclined to dislike Tampa Bay almost as much as the Yankees, but I guess going to a Devil Rays' game still counts.... ;)

Play to learn, you're right. It's not the same over TV. I was really hoping to get Red Sox tickets this season, but as of February when I started looking they were pretty much sold out for every home game already. Maybe next year.

For some reason we only watch the world series here, we are really NASCAR fans.

But GO CUBBIES! I was born in Chicago area and lived there as a little girl, We always pull for them, even though they are the underdogs usually.

I love listening to baseball over the radio; it reminds me of when I was a kid working in the yard and in the garage with my dad. Crazy.

I also love being at most sporting event games, but baseball games are hard for me to watch. I get antsy...not enough going on. Hockey...now that's a sport that is fun to watch. Non-stop action!!!

I am a loyal Twins fan, and it was a really sad day when Kirby died. We are trying to get a new stadium and a lot of people want to name it Puckett field. I think that would be awesome!

Before the start of last night's Twins/Blue Jays game, there was a tribute to Kirby Puckett. I remember so vividly watching him play...he always made it enjoyable to watch!

Holy Cow!! The Twins just creamed the Jays. I can't believe it...13-4! Let's hope it's a good indicator of the rest of the season. I want to be still watching them in October!!!!

Oh, and the Grand Slam by Torii Hunter didn't hurt, either!

As a Jays fan, I hope that it isn't an indicator of the rest of our season! I still want to be watching into the post-season (which we haven't done for quite some time!)

My Red Sox (notice how I say 'my' and not 'the' LOL) played pretty well last night. They had a new pitcher on the mound and he held the Rangers to only 1 run for 7 innings! I was pretty impressed. Granted, the Sox didn't get any numbers on the score board until the 7th, but it was a 2 run homerun. The game ended 2-1...so they barely won and it was killing me! haha Both teams played really well defensively.

Once again my Red Sox are in first place with a 4-1 record. :) They're winning right now against the Orioles too so hopefully it'll be a 5-1 record shortly.

Yeah, and they did it at my Blue Jays expense this afternoon :( I do have to admit, though, that they are off to a great start. (Don't worry, the Jays will get it together and give you a run for your money later in the season!)

I just wanted to post a picture from our game last night. Tampa V's Baltimore. We had a great time with the kids. Tampa won!

Tropicana Field was giving out free tickets left and right. We got 4 free tickets for Tampa home game against White socks next month.:) Nice family time.

I'm so excited! My boyfriend and I just found semi-inexpensive Red Sox tickets on Ebay! They ended up being about $75 a ticket, which is the cheapest I've seen. We're going to the game on June 11th which is our 4 year anniversary. :) He's got plans for us the day before (Saturday) because he said we will get home too late to do it on the Sunday. The plan right now is to do whatever we're doing Saturday, stay overnight in a hotel in Boston and then go to the game on Sunday afternoon. I'm really excited!

I've been dying to go to a game for the longest time so when we got our hands on the tickets we jumped at the chance! They're not the greatest seats (Left field about 20 rows back) but it'll be awesome just being at Fenway! :)
