So sorry! The kids here have been having sore throats and runny noses. My friend just told me that they keep sending kids back from the nurse with a cough drop. 1 parent has learned to lie that his kids have allergies. The school does not take Covid seriously. :( I hope your teacher gets better soon!

Power back on, Ida did a number. School might be out the rest of the week.

    Yikes!

I am glad you are OK. I saw the pictures on the news and Ida did do a number. It looks like a mess!

"The U.S. saw its peak of mu variant cases in mid-July but case numbers involving that variant have been declining since, signaling either a weakening of the strain or indicating a worrisome future."

I wish I knew what that meant.

Given that the statement you quoted was not quoted in the article, it means the author or editor of the article wanted some drama in the article. Nothing brings attention like making an ominous statement as your last statement.

This is an excellent example of the subtle ways the media uses their influence to the public and put fear into them.

That is the last paragraph in the article linked, at least the article I got when I clicked on it.

I know. I read the article. It was not a quote from some "professional". It was the article's author's comment or should I say opinion about what it signals.

I might be concerned if the article had that paragraph as a direct quote from the same person who was quoted in the article. But since it isn't, it gives me no pause regarding Mu. Just a scare tactic of an author who wants to push an opinion and instill fear.

Ok. I see what you mean. I guess it sounds ominous. But mainly I can't see that it says anything at all. I simply don't understand it.

I agree it doesn't make much sense.
