...and I don't mean lesson plans or themes or bulletin boards! What do you do for YOU to be ready? Today I got hair cut and colored. Tomorrow is eyebrow wax and nails. Still need to shop for shoes and a few new clothes.. I'll also stock up on lunch items, fave KCups What's your regimen?
Well, we are three weeks in, so it seems like a distant memory! I did get my hair cut and ordered new glasses. I have a hard time adjusting to new glasses, so I have had them two weeks and haven't worn them yet; might give them a try this week-end. I still need to buy some new clothes. With this heat wave, I don't have enough school appropriate hot weather clothes. Have fun!
IF I had to get ready for work again, I would have had the usual done: - hair done - brows threaded - new clothes/shoes ready &/or back from cleaners/cobbler - car washed & routine maintenance done - carpets cleaned & house tidy, so I can come home to organization - plants watered, so no watering again for a bit - fridge pretty stocked, so no grocery store trips too soon after returning to work - all laundry done - maybe mani & pedi (&/or try a massage) (- if I still had my dog, he would have been washed & his nails would have been trimmed) So it's any chores done, so I don't have to think about doing them again too soon.
My hair desperately needs done but my cousin has been double booked for weeks! Since having her triplets, she only works three days a week. Now there are two other girls at her salon on maternity leave. Which means she is trying to cram way too many people into three days. For a while she has tried to do family at home but the girls (18 months) are quite the handful now. As long as she squeezes me in before picture day, I will survive.
I get my hair cut and colored, take my car for an oil change, and stock up on easy to prepare dinner food!
I've been back for awhile. Daughter started on Monday. We got our hair and nails done. I bought a couple of new shirts, but still need to buy some black flats to replace the ones that are finally showing their age.
I got my hair trimmed and coloured a couple of weeks ago. I'm growing it a little longer than I've had it in years, so it will be good for another few weeks. I need to pull out the "work clothes" and be sure that everything is laundered and wrinkle-free. Ideally, I'd like to cut and pre-package some veggies and hummus to grab for snacks, but we need to move my son on Sunday and Monday, so not sure it that will happen or not.
I think we could be sisters from another mister! I have to wait until this weekend for my hair, but I did get a mani and pedi and bought some new school clothes. Going to the grocery store is a must before school starts. I can count the number of times on one hand I bought groceries during the summer! A pre school massage if possible is also on my list.
-Shopping for new clothes (A LOT this year, since I'm pregnant!) -Haircut -Nails (I do my own) -Cleaning the house, and organizing all of the little things that I always put off. I like to start fresh, so I don't feel behind right away that first week!
Yesterday was my first day back! Last week i...cleaned out closets & finished laundry, colored my hair, bought some new makeup, went food shopping for lunch items and healthy snacks, bought a cute new lunch bag that has the tupperware with it:haha:
This week I've gotten my hair cut and highlighted and also went for an hour long massage which was probably the most relaxing massage I've ever had. Over the weekend I'll go for an eyebrow wax and mani/pedi. All my new clothes are bought so I'll probably go through what I already have and see if anything can be donated.
I got my hair done (got a perm) and I got my nails/eyebrows done - but I get my nails/eyebrows done every 2 to 3 weeks anyway. I always buy a new Vera tote, Vera purse and Vera lunch bag when the school year begins, but I buy a new Vera Bradley bag pretty much every season when the new patterns come out.
Hair cut today (this seems to be a popular thing to do before school ) Need to pick up a cardigan to go with my back to school dress Grocery shopping Mow the grass Clean the house Laundry Massage is scheduled for the Saturday after school starts
Well, that seems like eons ago (we've been back for 3 weeks), but I got a haircut and some new clothes, including some nice shoes. Started stocking my typical lunch stuff in our kitchen. My hair stylist said she'd had a lot of teachers come in right before school started!
We've been back 3 weeks as well, the only thing out of the ordinary I did was getting some new clothes, not a whole lot though. I also did what I try to do every weekend getting ready for the week: do laundry, clean house, prepare 4-5 salads in tupperware jars, buy some granola bars and other snacks. And I finally bought a small fridge for my classroom What a lifesaver. Now I just need to get a microwave.
I got my hair done today (it's been MONTHS so it was definitely past time) and am hoping to get a mani/pedi on Tuesday. I am planning to really clean and organize my apartment this weekend. I also need to go through my clothes. I know that some of my work pants were looking a little ratty at the end of last year, so I need to see what I need to replace. Plus trying to enjoy the last few hours of summer of course!
