I'm looking for an example of a Back to School Parent letter. It's my first year teaching a self-contained 6-8th grade class. It's not a life skills class. The kids are just super low academically. There are a few with Autism, most are LD. I'm not sure what to say or how these work! Also, is this where I mention supplies they should have? I'm thinking a 3 ring binder with dividers for classwork, a pencil box, pencils, paper, and a box of tissue. Does this sound right? Am I missing anything? As a resource teacher I didn't need to do this because the kiddos had a general ed. teacher and they just came to me for support. This is all new to me! Thanks for any help you can provide!
