My sister-in-law is finally getting prepped for a c-section after pushing since noon-yuck! Anyway, I'll be headed to the stores as soon as I find out the sex, but also want to get a book(s) for the new mom and dad. I'm looking for a picture/children's book (something like, "Love You Forever") that would be sweet for new parents. Any suggestions? Also, any ideas on a little gift for the mom-to-be? Thanks!

Look for scrap books, and baby accents for it.

    nursing night gown

    boppy pillow

offer to cook dinner and bring it over

a baby swing or bouncy seat if they don't have one.

One of my all time favorite books is Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney. It's such a sweet book:love: .

My girls both love the Sandra Boynton books. They are really cute and have "sounds" you can make while reading them.

There is a book by Billy Crystal "I Always Knew I Loved You" (something like that) that is really touching. Although it is about a grandpa who is awaiting the arrival of his granddaughter.

There is another book that I cannot remember the name of but I think it is by Jamie Lee Curtis. I tried to google it but it didn't work.

My boys loved "I Love You Stinky Face" too.

Pat the Bunny is a classic baby gift book. Each page has a texture to feel and very cute pictures. Most book stores have it packaged as a gift with some kind of stuffed animal or baby toy to go with it.

Guess How Much I Love You gets my vote, too! It is our most treasured book. Later on...Mercer Mayer books, Froggy books, and Jessie Bear books.... (I have three boys, in case that influenced my suggestions! :D )
