    ST,
Are you all set for when you go home? Do you have everything you need?

ST - I just saw your post on the After Party. I remember someone telling me that they would hang a sign on their front door that Mom & Babies were resting & to come back at another time. Maybe you need to do that with your family!!!

I think it would be nice for you if people spaced out their visits so you can have a little help/break here & there for weeks to come instead of everyone at once!!!

Yeah!!!! I am so excited for you and sooo happy you could keep them "cooking" as long as you did. They are a good size. I think you will be tired for a long time to come but they are worth it! Congratulations, mama!

When I had my 2nd C section, I took all the pain meds they would let me have, and was able to be up and around much faster then the first time. Don't be brave and put up with the pain, let the nurses know, and feel good.

Enjoy every minute with those little ones.

ST, They almost look identical. So even though they are fraternal do you think they will be hard to tell apart?

ST~Try to walk as soon as you can. That helps the recovery process and you won't have to stay in the hospital as long.

I thought they looked VERY different. Maybe that's because I have three boys who everybody says look the same, so I just naturally zero in on the differences.

    They are very adorable :)

I meant for people that aren't their family. Like teachers hahaha. It took me 8 months to tell the identical twins apart in my class last year.

Milk's not supposed to come in until day 3ish. You're on day 2. If they're latching on then you've won 90% of the battle. Don't worry about it :)

The few drops of colostrum that mom does produce. It's packed with nutrients. This is the way the human body is designed (and all mammals for that matter). The idea that human babies need a supplement to nature before mom's milk comes in is a relatively modern intervention. Human babies survived for thousands of years prior to the modern age. Nature is one smart cookie. She knows what she's doing.

Another point that will leave you standing in awe at the way nature takes care of us:

Did you know that the chemical composition of breast milk is different for full term and pre-term babies? And that there's differences between the the milk of mothers who delivered at various gestational ages? Our bodies know at what stage of pregnancy we delivered, and makes milk that's nutritionally appropriate for our offspring. Preemies have different nutritional needs than full term babies, and our bodies adjust accordingly.

Truly amazing when you really think about it.

    That is pretty amazing mm.

PS: I just went and looked at the new pictures ST posted since the first one I saw and yes I can see the difference between the girls now. Now she just has to label the pictures so we know which names goes with which one.
