In our author study discussion someone had asked me to post a picture of my author study board. I can't find the original post, so I'm just starting this thread.

Here is a link to my board:

I kept it very simple, and I honestly wasn't sure what to put on it exactly. I just wanted to make it fun. The cat in the hat will stay up and "present" the new author each month.

I love it! I wish I had another open bulletin board in my room!!! I wonder if I could do that as a portable?

I think that I will do this on one of those trifold boards, and pull it out during reading corner, as I have no more available wall space in my planning of the set up of my room....but I love the idea, thanks for the pictures.

teacherSMK - I'm doing mine as a trifold. I like the portability aspect.

yes, I think it will work better for me on a trifold, then I can pull it out only when I need it. :)

Has anyone done this on a tri-fold yet? I would love to see a picture of it!!

Driving Pigeon- yours looks great! Do you always have an author that you are studying? Or, do you just space it out whenever you want?

Well, it's my first year doing author studies, but I plan on just studying a new author each month. I'll change the board monthly and just read a few books by the author each week. We have a set reading curriculum, so I'm going to have to tie it into that somehow.

I have a suggestion for those of you using a tri-fold. Attach with velcro so you can change out the author, etc. That way you aren't using several tri-folds for the different authors you'll be covering. :)
