    The Possession
House at the End of the Street - Had an interesting twist

Yesterday, I saw End of Watch.

Steel Magnolias (remake) comes on tonight if anyone is interested. I think I'll watch it.

ETA: I'm really annoyed. Twenty minutes in and the dialogue from the remake matches almost 100% to the original. It's almost word for word.

I saw Won't Back Down - I did NOT like it, I think the acting killed it, and just the whole thing seemed kinda cliche. I bet the original story, as it happened, was more inspiring.

Saw Sinister yesterday. It was almost along the same lines of The Possession with the deity preying on the kids in the movie.

Over the break, I saw Flight & The Man with the Iron Fists. Flight was good.

Right before the TG break, I saw Skyfall & had seen Alex Cross a few weeks ago.

I was in the mood to go to the movies this weekend, but nothing sounded good. I want to see The Call, but it comes out next weekend. Somehow I missed Side Effects, which I wanted to see.

Going to the movies is a 50 mile round trip, so I don't go unless I really want to see something or am out for another reason.

50 miles?! Yikes. I can drive to my nearest 2 theatres in 3-5 minutes from my place.

I live in a rural area. My town hadn't had a theater in more than 20 years. The ones in the next town are 25 mikes from my house. Their old ones were 18 miles. I went every weekend for more than 10 years. That's the same town we have to go to for clothes and more than very basic groceries & cleaning supplies. Oh, and decent restaurants. It's 100 miles round trip anywhere better.

    Saw 3 more movies today:

Dark Skies - OK, ending kind of a letdown
    G.I. Joe: Retaliation - Good!
Olympus Has Fallen - Outstanding & very thought-provoking!

I've heard of VERY FEW of the movies you've seen...but then again, I'm quite picky about what I'll go see, or even rent...I tend to find people in movie theaters are distracting:cell phones, talking, loud snacking...it takes a really good movie to get me into a theater...
    Glad you're enjoying though!

The movie-goers at my theatres around here are quite polite & respectable of their fellow movie-goers, so it's quiet. If a movie is really good, such as Olympus Has Fallen, the audience will clap at the end...I never have though.

With my new work schedule, the only time I can go to the theater is when I have my boys (I'm always off work the weekend they come down). That's great since MOST of the movies I see are ones I take them to, but there are other movies I would like to see that may not be appropriate for them (mostly "R"-rated ones).

We normally go to the afternoon matinee shows, but went to see G.I. Joe: Retaliation this past Friday night at 7pm. In the matinee's, there normally isn't much of a crowd. On Friday night, there were a lot of teenagers there. I was worried they would talk and be noisy during the movie, but once the previews started, they were very quiet.

    Movies we've seen so far:

    Oz, the Great and Powerful
    G.I. Joe: Retaliation
    Jack the Giant-Slayer
and a couple of others that I can't remember at the moment.

    Movies we want to see:
    Iron Man 3
    Wolverine 2
    Man of Steel
    Catching Fire

I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Saw Hangover III and Fast & Furious 6 on Sat. They were good.

    Plan to see:

    World War Z
    White House Down
    After Earth
    Stoker
    The Internship
    Black Rock
    Now You See Me
    The Purge
    We're the Millers
    Man of Steel

I saw 4 of the movies that I listed above (first 3 & Internship), plus others. They were good. I expected a little more from After Earth...meaning more excitement or more to the storyline, etc.

Lately, saw The Conjuring, R.I.P.D., & Pacific Rim. R.I.P.D is like Men in Black, if you like that kind of thing. The COnjuring is pretty scary, like I thought.

    3 Days to Kill
    Non-Stop
    Lone Survivor
(some other recent movie...forgot the title)
    Need for Speed

    I want to see:

    Divergent
    Sabatoge
    The Single Mom's Club

I've gone to one movie in the past 3 or 4 years - Superman, Man of Steel. I would want to see Divergent but I'll probably wait for the DVD.

    -Frozen- okay
    -Dallas Buyers Club- good
-Wolf of Wall Street- very good
    -Captain Phillips- very good

If you like all the adrenaline-pumping, Fast & Furious type stuff, you'll like this. But, The Fast & Furious ones are still a lot better because there's still MORE action & the actors in Need for Speed may be unknowns to most people.

Guardians of the Galaxy was a lot of fun

Every ad for "Lucy" annoys me because the very premise is severely flawed: the idea that we only "use" 10% of our brain, and that if we used more we'd be some kind of supermen, is ludicrous.

The lack of originality in Hollywood is depressing. In the quest for money, they seem to be losing the idea of creating new things; I suppose that's why the good movies are robbing from comics.

Rarely see movies (never adult) but took my son to see
Guardians of the Galaxy. Funniest super hero movie ever and
not bad. Son loved it. VERY visual if that means anything.

Saw "And So It Goes" with my teacher friends back home. It received pretty bad reviews, but I didn't hate it- it was okay.

Saw Guardians of the Galaxy with our friends. Had no clue what it was about, so I was disappointed when I saw it was made by Marvel's studio as I have no interest in comic book movies, however, I REALLY enjoyed this movie!

Saw Snow Piercer. Didn't like the ending.

Saw The Giver and The Hundred-Foot Journey and liked both of them. Neither are action packed, but they were both good stories.

I want to see Lucy, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, What If, A Most Wanted Man, and Magic in the Moonlight. I doubt I will find the time or the funds, but in a while they will be in the Redbox.

Yesterday, I saw No Good Deed & Into the Storm...BOTH are great movies! I had seen As Above, So Below, which was OK & Purge: The Anarchy a couple of weeks ago & it was good (I hadn't seen the first of The Purges.)

There's a lot more coming up that I want to see:

    Something Wicked
    Addicted
    The Equalizer
    The Mazerunner
    Anabelle
    The Boy Next Door
    Ouija
    Gone Girl
    Wedding Ringer
    Fury
    Pyramid
    The Judge

    Maybe Interstellar
They're doing a 3rd Night at the Museum.

(BTW, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was the 1st of the Apes movies I had seen & I liked it. It makes me want to see the prior one.)

I saw The Maze Runner and A Walk Among the Tombstones yesterday. The Tombstones one with Liam Neeson was OK.

I liked Maze Runner. Anyone read the triology of books (The Scorch Trials & The Death Cure were the others)? I liked this better than the Divergent storyline.

I read, and enjoyed the Maze Runner series. The movie hasn't had good press here, and I'm eager to hear from a couple of my students who were going to see it this weekend.
