Hello out there!! Any Atlanta Georgia Teachers on the line? I'm new to the Covington area and would like to get to know the school systems. I've applied for a couple of jobs ...nothing yet. I started out late so all the Language Arts/ Reading / English middle level are taken.

Would like to chat...so message back!

    KMC:)

I will be a new teacher this fall in Cobb County. I know Cobb has some middle school Language Arts positions available. The school that I will be teaching at has a reading position open.

    Welcome to Atlanta!!!

Cobb doesn't use teachgeorgia to post openings. Go to teachcobb.com

I used to live in the Atlanta area. Newton County (the county that Covington is in) has some language arts openings. Just go to TeachGeorgia. The deadline to apply is July 31. Good luck!

I'm in Gwinnett...not really sure where all of the other counties are in relation to my county. Since the thread is open...I was wondering if anyone knew of any teaching stores in the area. I found one called the SchoolBox which has a lot of locations but I can't find any others.

I think the closest store to you would be the Northlake location. I am not sure if there is one in Gwinnett. The Northlake location is in Dekalb County.

The Schoolbox is by far the best one that I have been to. There are locations everywhere! There is one near Gwinnett Place Mall, one at the new shopping center at Howell Mill/Northside Drive off of 75, and another one in north Fulton County near North Point Mall. Each store seems to have a good selection. For the best teacher supplies, check out the North Point store, and for the best content area sections, go to the Howell Mill store.

Can you tell I frequent them? Oh! And just FYI for everyone, you get an additional 15-20% off at Schoolbox locations if you use your Sonny Money!!

I'm going once I get my gift card. Does the school give them out or does it get sent in the mail??

My school emailed me and told me to come by to pick it up. I am pretty sure you have to sign it out.

Just so you know, conveniently, The Schoolbox is having a sale just in time for the Sonny Money. How thoughtful of them!
