We just found out what everyone's assignment for next year will be, and there are a few shake-ups. I'm (voluntarily) moving from a reading intervention position to 3rd grade :)

Are you staying the same or switching?

I have been asked to change grade levels - we'll see what actually happens in the final plans.

    Small change--from a straight grade 7 class to a combined grade 7/8.

I requested a change and have been asked to take one of the positions I requested. It could still change before the end of the year, but I'm expecting to go forward with the change.

I requested a grade level change, but won't actually know for a month or so.

Found out on Friday morning that my year-long team and leadership position, which had been under review, have been given at least one more year, so I'm staying put. Unfortunately, our curriculum design is for a semester-long class, so I was simply told to draw out some units and create new ones. Um, when will I have time to do that if I don't get summer hours to work on curriculum?

I didn't do the poll yet because I'm not sure. I applied for an instructional coach/teacher position, but the final date to apply isn't until this Friday. I won't know for a while.

Anticipating someone from my grade level may be moved to another grade due to population shifts, but I really don't think it's me this time.:)

It's wayyyy to early to tell at my school. I won't know anything until probably the 2nd week of June, at least. I'm hoping to loop though!

I am not 100% sure yet, but I requested a change of grade levels and have heard I am switching! I am very excited!

    Um.....

My choice- new school in the county I grew up in. (Current school is 90 miles from my family. Way better than 750, but now that I have the cutest niece on the planet, still too far.)

If I do not land a new job, I will most likely be moving grade levels. They don't anticipate 3 K classes next year. I am 10000% for moving grade levels. K is my last choice! When I was hired, they told me 3rd is a very real possibility for next year.
I supposed there is a small possibility that I will remain in my current position.

Based on what I was told, I believe I am staying at 3rd/4th MD self-contained. I imagine that anything could happen, though.

I'm technically switching because we will have two full time sped teachers in my building next year. Right now I work with all of the grade levels. I'm not sure how we're going to split it up yet, but I'm hoping for the primary levels.

I will be staying in my current position. Woohoo! After so much switching in the beginning of my career, I'm excited to be in the same grade level 4 years in a row! (Next year will be my 12th year teaching)
