Are there other sites like this one where teachers post comments? I love this site but I am off this week for spring break and would like to explore some other sites.
I hope it is okay to ask this on this site. IF not, someone delete this post please.

The other site that I frequent is a bit more academic. It is here: http://englishcompanion.ning.com/. While most of the members are high school and middle school teachers, there are elementary school teachers who are members.

I was lucky enough to meet and have a great conversation with Jim Burke at the Illinois Reading Council Conference this past weekend. He's a really nice guy!

proteacher is a great site. Many post their ideas so you can print them off.

If you want to chat with British teachers then

www.tes.co.uk is a good site. It has a forum like this one and thousands of members.

I chatted with him last year at the CA Ass'n of Teachers of English (CATE) conference, and at this year's CATE we both gave presentations in the same room; his was right after mine. I had five attendees, and he had people on the floor, against the walls, spilling out into the hall...but he does seem like a nice guy.
