Are old Praxis II scores the same as new ones?

My wife has been a Secondary English teacher in Idaho for the last 5 years. Recently we've moved to the Salt Lake City, UT area and in the process of getting her a Utah license we've discovered that her Praxis II scores do not meet the minimum requirements in her subjects (History, English) in this state.

She took her test in 2005, so what we are trying to figure out is if her 12-year-old test scores are equivalent to the 2012 test, or if there is a scale or something that can be used to compare her scores apples-to-apples with the current exam scores.

It is extra frustrating because she missed on both by less than ten points, but with 5-years experience in the classroom and a track record of positive reviews, it seems silly to have to have to retake the exam.

Any advice on this would be very helpful.

    Thanks!
    Ryan

Her test scores are scaled scores: if the test she's come up a bit short on is the test that Utah wants, in theory, any score of (say) 150 on any version of that test should reflect the same level of performance as any other score of 150 on any other version of that test.

In other words, I'm afraid that Utah will probably still insist that she retake the Praxis II even if she passed it by Idaho's standards. Praxis II exams, for the most part, aren't about pedagogical skill: they're about subject matter knowledge. The feds let states choose their tests and their passing scores, but once those are in place, it's hard to get around 'em.
