There's been threads about shoes latey. Anyone hear of Aravon shoes? They focus on casual footwear with remarkable fit, comfort, performance and style. Check out the site:

They look cute. I'm afraid that they wouldn't look as cute once I put them on though. I guess I would just need the right clothes to go with them.

It looks like this company is an off-shoot of 'New Balance' (sneakers) so I'm sure they are comfy. They mostly look like 'teacher shoes' to me...a few semi-cute ones.

I looked them up online-the prices for most were over $70 with some over $120+. Yikes!!! Maybe there will be a sale at my shoe store! HMMM....

If you go on ebay you can find some good prices on them!
    Has anyone ever tried them??

I never heard of this brand in my life, until today. I was browsing my bookstore & going through magazines & I saw a little ad about these shoes.

I don't mind splurging on high quality shoes because feet really take a beating, especially when you're on your feet all day like us teachers.

I thought the little heels with the straps were pretty cute, but most looked a little "teachery" for me too. I would like a pair of heels I wouldn't mind wearing all day, since I am not the stiletto wearer that some of you apparently are!

I personally like more youthful, contemporary shoe styles than this brand. I know of better styles that are just as comfortable. The prices are about the same though.
