I am looking for something similar to Board Maker but free. I just need to make a visual cue for one student. Our SLP doesn't have it.

tinsnips.org and some of the British schools seem to be more proactive in posting visually based activities.

I'm always surprised to hear that a speech language pathologist doesn't have Boardmaker! What else do they use? How do they work with children? They don't provide, don't make any visuals for them?

Here is another great website: http://www.setbc.org/pictureset/

I just use google images. If you click on "show options," it'll let you narrow it down to clip art, black and white, etc.

For your non-readers what would you use on a worksheet for more than or less than? I was thinking about the ASL sign for more- for more than (which I know is not the sign for more than in ASL) but I know the less then sign is too complicated to put below the word on a worksheet for my non-readers. It would be too confusing. So what would you use for a sign for more than and what would you use for less than???

You should make a picture with the "more than" sign and pictures of some objects (let's say apples) on the left side and the right side. Make it visible and obvious to show that there are more apples on the left than on the right side and circle the picture that has more. Did you visialize that?
The same for the "less than" sign.

Go to Ablenet-- at the bottom you will see where it says PogoBoards. It is free to join or you can pay to join for more options. Hope this helps.

Actually, Boardmaker gives you a 30 day demo.

You can use it to create whatever you need, then remove it. :)

While it not free, you can use Smarty Symbols for just $45 per year. Which is an amazing alternative for sure...
