Haven't used one in recent years. I thought about the same thing... How well do they work? I remember my mom & my aunt having one. My cousins & I would use it to play dentist... Lol!!!

I have one. It doesn't replace flossing, but it definitely gets out large pieces of food that flossing sometimes misses. I have the portable one. If I could choose differently, I would get the non-portable one, because it's losing charge, and when it loses charge it's not as effective.

Thanks for the comments. I'll be thinking about getting it since it's $90.

My dentist recommended one (I don't have one). It seems like an expensive investment and something that would take up limited counter space. I would like to try on e, though.

My late husband used one and loved it. I never used it because I have an exposed nerve and it was painful to use. We had the plug in version, but it's probably been redesigned since the one we had came out.

I do use a Sonicare toothbrush and I love that. It tickles my nose so I put pressure on my nose with a couple of fingers on my left hand so I'm quite funny looking when I brush my teeth. :D

Good to hear more favorable comments. $90 isn't exactly a few bucks!

I was recommended one when I got braces. I love that thing now even without braces. It's amazing and appalling at the same time seeing what's all up in my teeth but after flossing, water pik, and my electric toothbrush my mouth feels fresh and clean. I have the cheapest version but it works for me.

    Hmmm...now I'm contemplating getting one.

Prior to braces (I wore them from grades 6-10), my teeth were so incredibly crooked. Plus, I had teeth on top of teeth, so I had quite a few extracted during middle school.

I have used it previously and quite satisfied as it is said it is leading brand in water flosser and more efficient than others.

I realize this is an old post, but for me, the novelty of the thing wore off after a few months. It was neat at first, but it ended up being more work than it was worth.

Since you've revived this thread, I never ended up getting one.
