You can also spend a lot of money and get nothing. There is an iPad on there for 33.00 now. Remember that is 3,300 bids and you have to pay for every bid in addition to the final price. Plus anytime you bid in the final seconds, it adds 20 seconds to auction time, so they can go on FOREVER.

yeah. I saw a commercial for that and my rip-off radar started blaring. That seems a million times more difficult than e-bay and I don't even really like dealing with e-bay.

My husband has done it on SkoreIt. He heard about it from Mike and Mike in the Morning (ESPN) and he won a few things. He didn't spend a great deal of money on it but he wasn't able to win any of the electronic items because the bidding was way too competitive. It's not a gimmick but it's definitely not easy to win stuff.

There was a sotry on our news about this scam. Most people don't realize you are having to pay just to bid so that really adds up. It's a dumb idea to lose money that way and not walk away with something for it!

I guess I'll just clarify that not all of those websites are scams. My husband has won giftcards, two watches, and a martini set on one of the websites. While I would not advise spending tons of time on the websites (especially if you have a propensity for gambling), there is strategy to winning the auctions and targeting less popular items is the way to win anything.
