HI, I have never sent an actual business email and am wondering if I follow the same exact format as a paper copy of a cover letter. I am sending a follow-up email after submitting snail mail documents. Can I start it Dear Mr. So and So: and end with Sincerely? Is there a correct email format or is it standard business format with the name address and all at the top? Do I even leave the 4 spaces after the Sincerely and then my name? I of course have snet tons of emails but just not a formal business one before. thanks for any help on this.
