I live in central NJ and have a Master's degree in Creative Writing. I have subbed in two school districts for about 2 years, gave Praxis and then got my CE. I am terrified of applying for jobs because who will even look at my resume unless I have the license?

My husband says technically I have the credentials to teach and I should just start applying to schools in central NJ and try to go the alternate route.

I just don't have the confidence in an interview to answer questions about lesson planning, discipline methods etc since I have not done any of these things.

Anyone here got a job with a CE? How did you learn about lesson planning, discipline methods, dealing with parents?

    Thanks so much,
    Thesub

Can I ask where in NJ are you?

I am in central NJ where I hear horror stories all the time.

    Thanks!
