We're having a pizza party next week at each school where I teach and are supposed to bring educational games or lead games for the kids. Does anyone have suggestions? We'll have a two hour slot and kids don't take that long to eat pizza :)

    Thanks for any ideas :)

If you have a Walgreens, they have 3 for 11.98 games...Topple is a favorite for my 6 year olds.

    file folder games

File folder games are easy to make. Students can make them and play them in the amount of time you have. Good luck!

bingo is really easy; just change the word bank depending on the audience

Concentration: make two index cards for each word, and put in a pocket chart. Form several teams. One team member pulls a card, defines the word or gives an example, and if correct, gets to look for the match. I allow them to phone a friend on their team for help with the definition.

there are lots of varieties on checkers and tic tac toe

Great idea about concentration maybe for fifth graders. I do play bingo with the K kids with the Dolch sight words pre-primer. They are getting tired of that game, so I need to come up with something different for the pizza party :)

Which folder games do you have that the kids really love and learn something? It has to be teacher made games.
