I'm a special education teacher, working on finishing my 9th year. Ya'll, BURN OUT doesn't even begin to describe where I'm at. The paperwork! The meetings! The litigious threat always lurking. Ugghhhh in college I worked at a daycare and loved it. I'm contemplating a Master's in B-K/Early childhood so I can teach PreK AND maybe a college course in the summers. I would like to know how difficult a Master's in this program will be. I have a child with Autism, I'm 41, and I'll have to keep working as a Sped teacher, so I'll have lesson planning and paperwork to focus on as well. Any Prek teachers want to chime in on the working conditions, lesson planning, meetings, paperwork...?
