It's been going on for yrs, but for those who don't know about it, it's a segment on a certain radio station hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Each day, he has a female caller call in who may suspect that her husband/SO is cheating on her. Seacrest has a radio employee call the guy pretending to offer a free doz red roses & asks who he wants to send them to, all while being on the air & the wife listening on the side. The moment the guy says another woman's name, Seacrest comes in during the call w/ the wife/GF & they confront & have the guy fess up. I don't regularly listen, but I have occasionally.

Even if you don't get this station, you can listen live online OR look up YouTube videos on past calls.

    Here's a call:

This is another station that does something similar:

I haven't heard of this before. I admit that I'm a sucker for this sort of thing, though. I love the TV show Cheaters.

We have a local station that does the same thing. I'm not sure it's real. By now you would think someone would recognize when they call with free roses. ;)

Exactly, because I know Seacrest alone has been doing it for years.

I heard one a loooooong time ago when things were first kinda becoming "viral" via email. The one I remember hearing sounded like a set-up.

I listen to either NPR or satellite radio. There are some really great (and funny) shows that air on NPRWeekend.

Haha I used to listen to that occasionally when I lived in SoCal. It was usually on too late, though - 7:30ish - and I was already at work by then. I really don't believe it's real. It doesn't seem like they can just call someone and put them on the air without permission. Also, shouldn't people get it by now? That radio station is WIDELY listened to in SoCal. People can't ALL be that clueless.

I LOVE NPR! Although, I tend to download episodes as podcasts and save them for long drives. "Wait, Wait" and "Ask Me Another" are my favorites, and came in really handy when I was doing the 5 hour one-way drive to visit my fiance throughout the last year.

I also have a few other podcasts that I really enjoy listening too, and I got my DH hooked on them as well. Dan Carlin's Hardcore History is another one we really like. Those are long (like, a 5-part series on Gengis Khan, with each episode a couple hours or so), so they work really well for frequent road trips!
