Anyone else dealing with this nor'easter? It's NASTY here. They closed schools across the area today and tomorrow. There is flooding all over. Two enormous trees in my neighborhood fell over-- one was across the street. Fortunately they didn't fall on the homes. We have a huge tree in our front yard and my car is parked right underneath it... of course it would suck if the tree fell on my nearly 11-year-old high-mileage slowly dying car.

Those of you also stuck in the storm: stay safe!!!

Where are you at? Here in Michigan we had mid 50's today and sunny. Looks like our weekend will be nice too.

    Virginia. :)

Major, the news is showing footage of the neighborhood where my school is. Scary stuff--- I hope our students and their families are okay!! One of my friends' parents have waterfront property and they've been keeping an extremely close eye on their boat.

We have had about 8 inches of rain in 3 days thanks to what is left of Ida. It has been cold, windy and very, very wet.

Sorry - 80 today at my school - cloudy and a tiny chance of rain which we need desperately. I keep switching back and forth between capris and short-sleeved shirts and pants and warm shirts. I wish the weather would make up its mind, already! We'll probably eat outside for Thanksgiving.

Long Island is looking at a wet, blustery day. There are high tide advisories up-- that means that my sister's basement and my brother's living room are both at risk. (She's closer to the beach, but he's at the bottom of a hill.)

Most of the trees here are just about out of leaves, so that's a help; otherwise some would be too top heavy and we would probably lose a lot.

It looks to be an interesting day.
