I just applied to a H.S job to teach students with special needs. I always saw myself teaching elementary. I've been tutoring some M.S students this summer and since that's been going really well I decided, why not High School?

I just turned in my application materials this morning to the private school. They want someone immediately so I'm hoping I get an interview! It's a newly created job too so I'm proud of myself for taking a chance.

I just accepted a position as a middle school ESE inclusion teacher. I never in a million years imagined that I would want to teach middle school. Give it a shot!

I'm K-6 certified...I'm not thrilled with teaching K or 1st but I'll do it to get my food in the door. I'm a little hesitant about 6th as well...I've applied to all 3 of those grades.

Additionally, I've had to be assertive to get interviews, etc. That is definitely out of my comfort zone!

I've been applying for everything I'm qualified for: elementary, elementary reading and math.

I just applied for a high school position after being in preschool for 13 years - afraid we will be closed down with the budget cuts but I think this may be an interview where they know who they want to hire.

I'm applying for jobs I'm certified for: early childhood, elementary and reading.

If I thought I had a chance at other positions I would apply but since I'm not certified for anything for middle/high school I doubt I'd even get an interview for those jobs.

Jlyn-Do you have 30 credit hours in any subject? If you do and you pass the CST in that subject I believe you can become certified in that subject (which is how I got my math certification).
