I can't stop buying products on Teachers Pay Teachers... I love it! I've made more purchases than I care to mention but my favorites so far have been: A Reading Comprehension Bundle http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Reading-Comprehension-Worksheets-Activities-165940 Guided Reading 101 http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/...01-Printables-Strategies-and-Word-Work-158699 Long Vowel Bundle http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Long-Vowels-Bundle-PhonicsWord-Work-573125 I'm moving to a new school and grade level next year (2nd) and I'm getting really excited to plan over the summer. Currently in my shopping cart: Clutter-Free Classroom Guide to Organizing http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/...-to-Organizing-Managing-Your-Classroom-119900 Morning Basket Work Bundle (super excited about this!) http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Morning-Basket-Work-Bundle-August-May-698850 Brain Breaks http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Brain-Breaks-for-the-Classroom-229497 2nd Grade Common Core Homework http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/2nd-Grade-Common-Core-Homework-263873 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Hi, my name is OhThePlaces and I have a serious TPT addicion. What great finds have you discovered? Anything that's made your school life easier?
Let's just say that my wish list currently contains 63 items...! I love TPT! It's so easy to spend money when things cost only $3 or so.
I love TPT too! I have only downloaded the free things, but there are some items-under 5.00-that I would like to purchase.
There is a lot of stuff I can use with my high school special education students. However, the font and clip art are too babyish so I often don't end up buying it.
I love a good find on TPT. I started out downloading freebies only, but recently I've found some things I love that have been under $5. TPT addicts unite.
Keep an eye out this summer. I think Middle/High School SPED is a niche market waiting for me to crack it. :haha: I want to make a bunch of stuff and sell it.
I love TPT, I do buy some things and I love the free things too. I think I have four binders with TPT stuff. I wonder, why we don't get the Sunday emails anymore with the free things?
I was literally just wondering how well it pays teachers and if it would be a worthwhile side business. I wonder if the things teachers post are copyrighted? I've thought about posting on there for a couple years now, but i worry that I've seen so much great teacher stuff that I might inadvertantly end up copying a design/template I've seen before and end up sued.
I think I am going to work on some things too. There's one lady who makes life skills stuff, but there is a lot of reading. PM me when you make something!
My hubby is a graphic designer. Since I'm changing grade levels, our plan is for him to pretty up the units I make so we can try and sell them. If I'm starting from scratch anyway...
My cart's full and waiting for payday, but I've enjoyed a few freebies since finding some really nice pieces! I love how the author's of several pieces I have in my cart really understand the true meaning of common core.
I've been enjoying freebies mostly, because I know if I let myself start a buying habit it will be impossible to stop! So tempting! I LOVE it! One thing I quite dislike, though, is that in the attempt to make things look good a lot of the files are very graphics-intense and don't load very quickly on my clunkier computer. I think a lot of the graphics are overdone, anyway.
giraffe - I'm in the same boat! I am a buyer and a seller on TPT. I don't have enough merchandise yet to have huge sales, but my ratings are good (always nice to get a pat on the back), and the little extra income has been nice. TPT has provided a wealth of common core aligned materials for my students, well beyond my paltry imagination!
In my experience, you end up getting paid about half of what you charge for an item. I have just a few items listed and make about $20 a month
I don't have much, but here is what I do have: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Patti-Whatley I think I've made about $200 since November (when I started). I upgraded to the premium account in January, and I'm watching my sales/profits to see if it was worth it. I'm planning on adding tons of stuff over the summer. Oh, and I still get the weekly emails.
I am a frequent buyer and a seller I spend about $30 a month on materials from TpT. Recently I bought an end of the year book for 3rd and 4th grade (I teach a combo class.). I sell a lot of CCSS materials for math aligned to 1st-4th grades. My store is FourthandGoal http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Fourthandgoal
I haven't started using it yet but I want to, because I see so many things on pinterest from there. Maybe over the summer.
I love it! I've downloaded a ton of great resources from there, both for the classroom and for tutoring. My only complaint is the desire to make things TOO cutesy sometimes...my biggest pet peeve about TPT is when resources geared for k-2 use really adorable fonts that IMHO are difficult to read. If you're designing a classroom sign or labels to use in the classroom, the font should be easy to read; especially for children who are just learning how to properly form their letters/are emergent readers/etc. Sometimes even *I* find the fonts a bit difficult to read.
Don't have too much yet , but my store is Second Grade Rocks: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Second-Grade-Rocks
I have five files listed and I make about 5-10 dollars a month. One of my summer projects is to beef up what I have on there.
Here's mine. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Golden-Poppy My plan had been to really beef up my offerings this summer, but now that I've switched jobs I haven't found the time yet. I've lots of ideas, but little time to get them together.
Here is my store if anyone is looking for it http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Pencil-Monkey I'm still in the process of uploading tons of stuff. I have 1000's of files of things I have made over the years. Please follow me! I teach 4-5th grade math and science.
GoldenPoppy - it's looking good! I know the feeling - I'm changing grades, and haven't had near the time to get anything new done, with the very small exception of some new CCSS lesson plan templates. I'm almost finished with the ones for 5th grade, then I'll be done with those. I pray I have more time for some more "creative" stuff!
I have wishlisted items I might purchase for next year. So far, I have only used freebies, but am perfectly willing to pay for something that will save me time and is reasonably priced and goes to a hard-working educator. I plan to post items over the next year. I read a fascinating article in Instructor Magazine about the top TPT seller reaching 1 million dollars in sales. I was shocked. I had no idea there was that much potential. Here is the article: http://www.scholastic.com/teachers/article/million-dollar-teacher-deanna-jump
