Though I've been applying wherever I can in Missouri for teaching jobs, I haven't yet started looking in Kansas. Mostly because I don't hear good things about how the state treats its teachers, and I know Missouri's been poaching their teacher pool pretty hard this year.

So I'm wondering, is it REALLY bad for teachers in Kansas, or are some of the things I'm hearing exaggerated? I'm not expecting anybody to tell me things are peachy and such, but I'm wondering if it might be worthwhile to look into Kansas schools to get some experience.

    I'm in Kansas.

    I'll PM you.

Any chance you are a HS science teacher? We need one NOW. Like, yesterday!

I took (and passed) the Missouri state Biology exam, so if it skews that way, I could be your guy! I dodged chemistry and physics HARD, so I'd need to learn more about them before I could pass those tests.

Also, while I've passed the test, I haven't submitted the scores to DESE yet, so it's not on my certification... yet. It will be, though. I'm currently certified to teach middle and high school social studies.
