So looking forward to Season 2 beginning! I didn't think I'd like it-don't usually like medieval times stuff, it looked boring to me. But when I started watching it--wow! I think it's incredibly well-written, well-cast. I don't know how they do the sets and costumes on the budget of a cable network show, but they really look so authentic. Anyone else watch? I've read some spoilers on the new season and am really looking forward to it!
We just watched the whole first season. We don't have cable so we'll have to wait to catch season two but I'm reading the second book now so I should be ready when it comes out on DVD. Definitely a fan!
Yes, we have actually avoided making tomorrow night to watch. We just rewatched the last few episodes of last season, too. I also don't usually like this genre, but it was been so good. So sad Jason Momoa's character died last season though. I practically drooled when he was on screen.
It's fascinating. My husband is reading the books -- apparently they are great. I will read them eventually, but so far love the show.
I LOVE the books!!! It's probably my all time favorite series of novels! The HBO series is WONDERFUL!!! I have been waiting for season 2 on pins and needles!!!!
YES. I love it. I wish I could go out to a premier party at a friend's house tonight, but I have too much work to do. I don't even have basic cable, I have to figure out other ways to watch! I've been trying to read the books but I have so very little time that I don't think I'll be able to finish the second book until this season is over! I think Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire are the two best current shows. Breaking Bad is supposed to be up there as well, but it was too depressing for me to finish the first season. I'm a big Mad Men fan too. Edit: I also love Homeland! I always forget about it, but I can't wait for it to come back. Cable has been making such great shows lately. The bar has really been raised.
I agree with Boardwalk Empire, too. These two shows are my favorite. We still watch True Blood too, but I think it's more silly and fun then a really good show. So I am on the third to last episode. I have literally sat here all day, going through stacks of magazines I haven't had time to look at (I need to cut back on my subscriptions), pinning things from the magazines' websites onto Pinterest, and watching Game of Thrones. It has been glorious.
It's funny watching them now knowing what will happen. I forgot about the part when Arya has Goffrey down on the ground with her sword and the dog bites him. I was yelling at the TV - just kill him now!!!
I watch True Blood too, despite knowing how silly it is. Sookie drives me absolutely nuts, but Eric makes up for it.
bison~I LOVE True Blood. I've read all the Sookie Stackhouse books too. silver~I just sat down about two hours ago to watch the rest of the marathon on HBO.
One day I sat down and watched the entire series. I thought I would like it, since I had liked the Tudors on Showtime. Will definitely be tuning in again this season!
Is this the first season for The Borgias? I've seen previews and am interested in watching that as well.
The Newsroom looks good - they previewed it before Game of Thrones. And I think Girls looks funny. First episode was pretty good.
