So, I bought all my supplies, including Frog tape and Valspar paint + primer. Did 2 coats of one color on one wall. When I tried to remove the tape, it's peeling the paint off my wall

What did I do wrong? And, tips to fix it??

I'm not sure if I took it off too soon? too late? I need to avoid this in the future. I still have a lot of walls to tape and paint.

    :help:

How long did you keep the tape up?

Is the tape pulling off the paint AND the primer?

First coat Saturday, second coat Sunday, tried to remove this evening. Probably about 24 hours between each action.

Mike, not positive, but I think it is both paint & primer. The walls have primer in addition to the paint + primer formula from Valspar.

I think it's paint and primer in one.

Thanks...guess I have some extra work to do now :( I'll have to keep a razor blade handy to remove the rest from that wall. I've always used blue tape and removed from a dry wall. Never thought to check for this brand.

At least I have bunches of other wall/ceilings to get it right. LOL
