I think I mentioned that our 500 Seniors went to Disney World 2 weeks ago for 3 nights. Today on the faculty board there was a letter from one of the flight attendants on one of the 6 flights the kids were on. She said they usually brace themselves for a flight full of high school kids, especially on the way to Disney. But our kids were so incredibly well behaved that she had to write and compliment them. Considering the number of school groups she must see in a given year, I think it's saying a lot that she paused to find the school address and send the principal a letter. I am SO in the right school.
Quick, where do you teach and how do I get a job there?! We got a ton of kids getting suspended each day. They are allowed back only to take their finals. It's good to know that teaching and motivated, well behaved students are alive and well somewhere....
BTW - did they share this letter with your students?? Do you have a parent newsletters you could print the letter in for parents to read? Congrats again on a great student body with terrific teachers and staff
The Seniors are already done (aside from the dozen or so who failed and need to attend Senior Summer School before graduation.) But they did get a great thank you from the teacher who ran the trip on their last day of exams: a two page letter thanking them for their wonderful behavior on the trip.
Gosh, I'll say that is quite the compliment!! Maybe it was DH whipping them into shape. As for my school, we need to start at pre-manners
